On 14 December the Orchard Academy Primary School in Milton Keynes held a ‘Bricklaying Ceremony’ where pupils, teachers, council members and school governors were able to watch their Headteacher, Mr Browne, lay a brick on their new school extension.

It was all agreed that Mr Browne did a great job, with his pupils giving in an 8/10 for his workmanship. All pupils were then given the chance to ask any questions they had before they were taken on a tour of the new building works.

The ceremony finished back in the warmth of the school hall with tea and cake. A lovely morning was had by all and one of the pupils even told Mr Browne that the event was his “best day at school so far!”
